The journey for little known Dilip kumar or the maestro A.R.Rahman, as everyone nos him, has been illustrious.. From the heart of Chennai he made ever lastin marks in bollywood and then in Hollywood.. Awards are not new to him but only the names.. His mark in Hollywood was noted when his album “Bombay Dreams” beat that of Michael Jackson’s.. The world only jus got bigger after that.. But yet he is still the same person for whom success doesn’t go to the head.. Though some projects hav got delayed because of him never have I heard that he was messing with directors.. He was only taking time to bring about classics.. Only he nos how many awards he has got for his magical touch..
No one can forget “Ma thuje salam” in their life!!!There are certain songs like chandralekha from TT, All songs from rhythm, rang de basanti, duet, Indian, alaipayuthey to name a few.. They will make you get goose bumps.. When compared to his previous classics the score for slumdog is jus too ordinary for his class.. I jus feel he should have got this award some 10 yrs back.. We can even say its 10 yrs too late for this legend..
Thala is always known for his simplicity and elegance.. That’s the best part of his character.. Tats wat I love about him.. Even after the greatest of feats he talks as though it was his first film.. He talks like a 5 yr old kid who jus had a great picnic.. Known for his nocturnal life thala works when everyone goes to sleep n does everythin vice versa.. It was he who std the trend of workin at nights and many new kids caught on to it.. In fact for most of his compositions he is not physically present except that the singers come n sing their part n go.. He brought in fresh voices and always made records tumble.. No one can miss the impeccable divine voice which he has.. The song gets a new dimension when he sings.. Incidentally many of his best hav his voice!!! Whatever it is the song gets a new perspective.. Tats wat everyone wants..
This oscar is jus another feather in his already stellar profile.. Many big records are still waiting at his doorstep.. Its jus that he need to walk through the path.. He owes everythin to god, everythin else will follow him..
